“I was honoured and humbled by the support shown by the Hawthorn community and the trust placed in me.“
Our community is a strong and diverse multicultural society and I am proud to be representing you as your Member of Parliament.
Despite being born in Sydney, I have lived in Melbourne most of my adult life, meeting my wife here and raising two children. For the past 15 years I have lived in the Boroondara area and now, like yourself, I call Hawthorn home.
I was drawn to this area by its beauty, history and the excellent public transport. As an avid user of the 75 tram and the Hawthorn railway station, investment in public transport is important to me. Level crossing removals at Toorak Road, Union Road and Mont Albert Road will benefit our community by easing congestion and enhancing safety.
Having spent my entire career in the education sector, I am proud to be part of a government that opened nine new schools in term one this year and will open 100 over the next eight years. As your MP I will fight for education in Hawthorn to ensure that every child has an excellent local school and a great start in life.
I stand for a Victoria that is fair, productive and compassionate and, as your local MP, I promise to listen to and champion the needs of the people of Hawthorn. If I can be of any support to you please do not hesitate to get in touch.
